This is really fucking cool.
#this is actually the best (and coolest) use of airbending that we see in the show #because this craft is about circles and avoidance and poor aang is forced to use it so many times for violence when he doesn’t want to #like here though we see it used as both an offense AND defense and it’s just so perfect for who he is and what he needs to do #he’s not just propelling himself away from the explosion #he’s projecting it back TOWARDS the attacker #to save his and his friends’ lives and potentially do some damage to the enemy #and the air acts as a shield that will toss him into the air but he knows he’ll be all right as long as his friends are #because saving lives comes first to him #it always will
Can I just
Asdfghjkl;
This is why I love airbending so much. And Aang. akdjfd;kfjg

to this day, I think Azula is probably one of the most interesting villains. Ever.Honestly, this scene made me feel choked up, because Azula obviously craved her Mother’s love, like Zuko had, but because she was so much more taken under her Father’s ‘wing’ as it were, she became a twisted version of who she would have been.
And this scene. This fucking scene.
Just take a step back and think:
- Her Mother is a hallucination here.
- Azula is bitterly saying ‘Even you fear me.’ And back at Ember Island, you learn that, even though she was a tiny terror, she was hurt because her Mother was scared of her.
- And the one thing that breaks Azula is the fact that a part of her knows exactly what her Mother would say. And she’d tell her she loves her.
- And she wouldn’t be angry, or disappointed. She’d be sad.
six different types of love (a:tla vers.)
eros (suki/sokka) » passionate physical and emotional love
mania (ty lee/azula) » obsessive, possessive, jealous lovers
ludus (jet/katara) » love played as a game
storge (toph/sokka, toph/aang, katara/aang) » affectionate love developed from friendship
pragma (mai/zuko) » love ruled by the head; not the heart
agape (zuko/katara) » selfless, altruistic love(inspired by this)
Eight years ago from today you premiered.
Everything didn’t change when the Fire Nation attacked.
No, everything changed when Avatar :The Last Airbender premiered.
What a glorious day.
February 21, 2005-July 19, 2008
I was watching the very first day, and I am watching it right now.
This is my longest stay in any fandom. I’m proud to be an Avatar fan!
